Lesson 11 · The Reflection Collection
Athlete
It's built, never given.
A reminder that greatness is earned, one day of work at a time.
The story.
I was born an athlete. Sports have been part of me for as long as I can remember, and I've always found my way back to competing.
But being born an athlete never meant anything was handed to me. Every level asked more of me. Peewee football taught me to love the game. D1 track showed me what discipline really asks of you. Now I'm hooping post-college, and it's the same lesson in a different gym.
If you want to be a great athlete, your body, your mind, and your spirit all call for it. Your body has to be trained. Your mind has to stay locked in when it gets hard. Your spirit is what keeps you coming back when you're tired and nobody would blame you for stopping.
And it always comes down to the same things. Discipline. Growing. Putting in the work. No shortcut ever changed that for me.
Why I made it
I made this for anyone building something, on the field or off it. Whatever you're chasing, the same rules apply. Show up, put in the work, and keep growing. Nobody can hand it to you, and nobody can take away what you've built.
It's built, it's never given.
Thank you.
Thank you for being a part of this journey.
